HOLY HELL! From my window about 30 minutes ago. It’s a screen cap from while I was shooting video from my window here in Northampton, Mass. What a dumbass I am. And what’s with the straight line at the top???

I’d wager a guess the line is from the camera not being able to capture the entire strike in a single frame. Lightning only lasts 30 microseconds. The image captured probably spans tens of milliseconds.
